About Us

Mirza Peljto, PhD MBAc

Mirza is the founder and owner of Field Medical Center of Excellence. Mirza received his PhD with distinction from Columbia University in 2010. Mirza is an award-winning field medical leader who is interested in principles of relational intelligence and human interaction (as applicable to healthcare). Mirza has over 12 years serving in various medical affairs roles at companies like Gilead and Bristol Myers Squibb.

Mirza brings tremendous experience to FMEDCE. First, Mirza has built high performing field medical teams and helped hire dozens of MSLs and MSL managers. Mirza has served as a coach and mentor to aspiring MSLs, MSLs, and MSL managers. He has helped build training programs for new MSL teams and serve as their trainer and coach during onboarding. Mirza has served as a lead on medical launches in immuno-oncology.

Throughout his tenure in industry, Mirza especially enjoyed training, coaching, and mentoring others. Moreover, he believes that one of the key ingredients missing in the medical affairs industry is our ability to effectively engage with thought leaders. Mirza is excited to support FMEDCE mission and elevate the medical affairs standards across the field. Mirza is dedicated to excellence and believes that high quality performance of medical affairs teams are a critical factor to the success of the larger organization.
